branding & sites

Each time we take on a website rebuild, we see a common theme. The theme we see most often is a failure to convey a feeling of brand and a unique value or voice to the visitor. We’re here to help you find that for your business. Most small business owners just want to hire someone to build them a website quickly and inexpensively. They give little to no thought about the need for sales copy, imagery, graphics, and content layout to set themselves apart. They typically put little to no thought into the purpose of the site and what it means to their sales process. As long as it looks pretty, they are satisfied. No wonder so many business sites we look at were built for pennies on the dollar with a pre-made theme that has nothing to do with the brand by someone overseas who speaks broken English.

We never use pre-made themes. Everything we do starts with a painfully blank white page and we build our sites completely custom.

We don’t build websites for their own sake. We build websites to sell you to your visitors. This means that you can not be completely hands-off during the project and that you’ll have to participate in the process to a small degree.

If you are a current ongoing SEO / SEM client, we are typically able to offer lower costs than comparable dedicated web design firms.

Below are a few examples of our recent site projects.

BEFORE

Lasting Connections was the brand for Sameera Sullivan’s matchmaking service. The old site made use of a pre-made theme and a logo and photography that didn’t reflect the high end offering.

AFTER

We rebranded the service to Sameera Sullivan Matchmakers to reflect the sense of expertise that is at the core of Sameera’s offering at a premium price tag for affluent singles. See more at the live site here

BEFORE

Lifelong Fitness is a boutique personal training gym, and nutrition and coaching service. This was a particularly challenging project because it involved converting a 12 page long-form sales letter into a home page.

AFTER

We reworked the logo, shot a custom video background, and curated a custom typeface. The owner is a passionate fitness educator and even after aggressive editing, the homepage turned out unusually long but we worked hard to make it as consumable as possible. We think it effectively reflects the wellspring of education that clients get as members.

BEFORE

Litster Frost is the largest personal injury firm in Idaho. This project was extensive as the existing site was essentially composed of a large collection of “content wall” pages (just blocks of text) and our goal was to convert the content into easily consumable and visually attractive presentations.

AFTER

The old homepage did not reflect the unique selling proposition of the firm and we put a lot of attention into doing so in the revised site. We diverged from the typical featuring of attorneys that is so common in this industry and rather, took the approach of speaking to prospects from the perspective of past clients. The photography involved a studio shoot of the model in an inflatable pool later composited onto a plate taken locally in the Uinta Mountains.

BEFORE

UroFill is a medical male enhancement procedure created by one of the country’s top urology surgeons. The procedure is currently undergoing prerequisite documentation for the goal of FDA approval. The old site made use of cliche stock photos and a pre-made WordPress theme

AFTER

We worked with the client to rework the site to reflect a simple, light, pharmaceutical look. The logo was reworked to stay close to the original but brought up to professional standards Although simple, the site included a protected login area and a Spanish version made without the use of auto-translating plugins.

BEFORE

Advanced Skin Fitness a medical spa with 2 locations in Dallas. They have the most comprehensive lineup of treatments in the area. We had earned top rankings and organic market share several years prior to site redesign. But the site was extremely outdated and conversions consequently suffered.

AFTER

The redesign relied on heavy use of photography and a subdued color scheme compared to the old site.

BEFORE

Dr. Bobby Jivnani is a long-time dentist and oral surgeon in the Plano / Richardson area of Dallas. The old site began to have trouble converting due to lack of identity in an extremely crowded market.

AFTER

Not a complete overhaul, but a much stronger update taking cues from the old site with emphasis on enhancing the personality of the clinic.

Project From Scratch – logo and site

The UroFill Clinic is a retail iteration of marketing for the UroFill procedure highlighted above. Although a simple site featuring an expensive procedure during a time of economic uncertainty, the launch was astonishingly successful.

Project From Scratch – logo and site

Perito was a lead-gen and branding project to attract new audiences to the urology clinic belonging to the doctor who developed UroFill.

Project From Scratch – site and content

Belle Âme is a medical spa in Oklahoma City started by a local surgeon. The design was based entirely off of the ink-script logo. We wanted to create a minimal black and white Persian feel. We used “single stroke” pen art on an all white site highlighted with subtle pastel water color swaths.
